An out of towner, I came to this facility for my regular Saturday morning Curves workout. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent, up-to-date equipment. It's quite small in square footage(you need to use each machine twice and they're placed very close together)but what made the experience FABULOUS was the trainer on duty -- Catherine. She stayed with me the entire time giving tips on how the new machines work and constant encouragement. A total professional. If only we could clone her!

I have been really impressed with the staff and both Dr. Audet and Dr. Simon, who have many years experience and have built a really modern, welcome environment for patients. I have been a regular client of Atlantis Beauty Spa for about 2 years now. I think their facial massage and body massages are second to none in the city. For facial massage I recommend Magda and for massages (body, back, sports etc) Adolfo is incredible. Only negative is they tend to get booked for Fridays and Saturdays by a week before. Look for Lydia at the receiption. Very clean spa, although a bit aged. That does not bother me though. Prices are OK. I recoomend this spa.

Been twice in the past month-once for dinner and a lunch. The space is small and has been busy but accomodating on both occasions. You can buy fresh fish to take home from a counter as you come in. They serve a basket of warm little grainy rolls to start along with glasses of water.
My companion's halibut, declared the best ever, sat perched on julliened veggies with a light citrus sauce as the days special. My jumbo shrimps were perfectly done in a garlic sauce. The glasses of wine were more generous than one usually finds.
The fish and chips came with fresh cut fries and a small homemade coleslaw. Nice and crispy. Our only disappointments were a cup of lobster bisque-thin broth vs the creamy concoction I was expecting(Maybe I don't know bisque) and crab cakes which came as two large balls with a uniform minced texture. Hard to tell it was crab but tasted
ok-Generally everything coming from the kitchen looked wonderful.

This restaurant is such a contradiction. It has the potential to become the best restaurant in Ottawa (if not the country). All the elements are in place. Awesome, atmosphere, great staff (mostly), and good food. The only stick in the ointment is a single toxic personality in the guise of a server, who seems intent on destroying all of that and ensuring that you never come back. She's a bit older than the other servers (who are all excellent), but this is not about age. Irene's up the road seems like an older crowd of patrons and servers, but they are awesome...but I digress, this not about Irene's, I just wanted to show that the contradiction at Patty's boils down to one personality. It's a real pity, because everything and everyone else there is out of this world.

I've only been a couple of times. It's a short walk from Rideau. They have a good collection of genres. Particularly punk, metal and such. But they do have a lot of material. A large bin at the front houses the new section where you'll find most indie bands new releases. Prices are what you would expect of vinyl, around 15-20$. I think the only thing they could possibly do to better the store is add more genres. Indie for instance holds things from Sufjan Stevens to Joanna Newsom. Pretty much anything hard to identify as a certain genre was put under indie. Whether that's really a bad thing or not is up to you. Other than that minor non-problem, it's a good record store with a large selection and normal prices. 4Stars.
