I've had the pleasure of experiencing multiple sushi restaurants in Ottawa, but 168 Sushi in Merivale by far stands out from the rest in regards to the variety available and quality of taste. My fiance and I recommend this location to our friends and family, as well as taking advantage of their fast and effective delivery service. The buffet at both lunch and dinner is reasonably priced and it is very easy to get your money's worth out of the food. Personal Highlights: -Miso Soup -Curry Chicken -Mango and Crab Rolls -Pork Dumplings -Salmon Roses The restaurant feels more like a night-club than a sushi buffet, but I have grown attached to the overall atmosphere. The service sometimes forgets to bring an item on the card you fill out once in a while, I recommend filling out one card per table for everyone instead of having each person fill out their own card at the same table to make it easier for the chefs (which you get to watch prep the food). Great service and a delicious meal consistent with what i expect from this restaurant. The garlic bread was fresh, the arrabbiata sauce (Hell's Kitchen chicken) was spicy, and the service was friendly. Their Spanish Coffee wasn't as good as I'd expected, but a decent cup of coffee is a rarity in most restaurants... My only complaints are that the temperature inside was cold, and the booths seem a little cramped. Lire plus

LOVE this restaurant! I live in Rockland and a friend told me about it one day and ever since I have been making the trek to Bank street because I'm always so impressed - the food is on point! I have tried all of the souvlaki platters and my favourite is the lamb - the meat is so tender and cooked to perfection. I don't usually eat seafood but their seafood souvlaki is amazing - the grilled shrimp is so tasty. Their salads are always fresh and they use a delicious dressing which I'm sure is home-made. The staff is always friendly and provide great service. If you compliment the chef or owner, they will come out and personally thank you and chat with you. Love that! The place is spotless and the atmosphere is great. I highly recommend it :) Lire plus

Although I have stayed overnight at the WelcomInn a few times, mostly I come into town only for the day -- they offer very convenient and cost-effective day rates. Parking is ample and free. The location is great for me, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable, with everything I need, including free wifi. There's a huge selection of restaurants within walking distance, but I usually prefer to bring food from home, so the small fridge and bar sink are great to have. Check in and out is easy, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. My only complaint? It would be nice if the rooms had microwaves. Overall, a great value and a clean, friendly, convenient hotel experience for the business traveler. Lire plus

We were a bit reluctant to visit Lago at first due to many negative reviews but since we have a gift certificate we might as well checked it out. The food was quite good but very salty. We ordered calamari for appetizer and it came to the table way too fast! But a very interesting dish ... in a good way. Main course came about the right time. I had sable fish which was quite good but salty and a bit oily. My husband ordered a rib steak. From most of the reviews we read, Lago tends to over cooked their steaks so he ordered rare. It came out med-rare, but was good. I had key lime pie for dessert. Mediocre. The service was very good, our waitress was efficient and polite. What surprise me at the end was when I asked for my dessert to go because I could only eat about 1/3 of it. I opened the box shortly after she gave to me just to make sure it was my dessert (happened before). My dessert was literally dumped into the box ... it was splattered upside down! Not sure what happened there. Overall, it was a nice restaurant, good food and good service. We would visit it again. Lire plus

On Wednesdays Montana's has an "all you can eat beef rib night", its worth the trip and go there hungry. They have 2 choices of beef ribs "back" or "side" ribs, back ribs are more tender and have more meat on them. Its a fantastic meal and very delicious, I find myself dreaming of those ribs the rest of the week. Sadly they do not offer the same meal any other night of the week, its a one night only affair, the rest of the week they offer only a pork bone substitute for "Ribs" which is not at all like on rib night. Another annoying thing is you cannot switch rib type once you start so choose carefully. I know they have Rib night in several other Montana's restaurants in the Ottawa area on the same night but I don't know if it's chain wide, check with your local restaurant. The Wednesday night beef ribs are the best I've ever had. Lire plus

This restaurant is such a contradiction. It has the potential to become the best restaurant in Ottawa (if not the country). All the elements are in place. Awesome, atmosphere, great staff (mostly), and good food. The only stick in the ointment is a single toxic personality in the guise of a server, who seems intent on destroying all of that and ensuring that you never come back. She's a bit older than the other servers (who are all excellent), but this is not about age. Irene's up the road seems like an older crowd of patrons and servers, but they are awesome...but I digress, this not about Irene's, I just wanted to show that the contradiction at Patty's boils down to one personality. I went to the new Beijing Legend restaurant on Bank with my wife and our friends. My wife is Chinese and is picky about your 'authentic flavour'. The atmosphere of this place is very nice and better than other Chinese restaurants I have been. The workers all wear nice uniform and great you with a smile. This restaurant has only been open a few weeks so the service was a little slow. I don't think it was a big concern as it was much faster than most restaurants around(just not compared to normal Chinese food). The best thing about Beijing Legend was the taste of the food. We ordered a fish dish, pork dish with mushrooms and a tofu dish. We started the meal with a nice soup. Each dish brought a smile to our faces and we were surprised how good it tasted. The portions were large and even with 4 of us we had to take some home. Currently Beijing legend is CASH ONLY however I believe that will change soon. They also will have their liquer licence soon so once they have that it will be an even better experience. My wife and I look forward to going again soon. Lire plus

i love this place. i had tried indian food everywhere, but just not like this. i am now addicted to this place's indian food and go there almost every day, if i cant make it, i have it delivered or picked-up. i just cant live without it! not only how good it tastes, the food is super healthy. its all mostly natural herbs and stuff. i seriously recommend this place to everybody. if you dont try this food, believe me, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!
